It’s difficult to think somebody would abandon a dog, let alone one who is blind.
But that’s exactly what happened to Kanga, a blind retriever who was discovered in a field near Long Beach with his sibling.
Rescuers immediately noticed that not only was Kanga blind, but he also had congenital defects to his paws that make it difficult for him to steer .
Kanga’s rescuers feel that his prior owner found it too tough to be concerned about him.
Fortunately for Kanga, the Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles (GRCGLA) Rescue took him in.
They watched after him while they searched for a permanent family that could properly care for him. The loving retriever waited for his forever home for a long time before finding it.
