Amazon Delivery Driver Jumps Into Pool To Save A Drowning Husky

Amazon Delivery Driver Jumps Into Pool To Save A Drowning Husky – Dog Dispatch

There are numerous well-known examples of dogs risking their life to save humans, and this is one of the characteristics that distinguishes them. It wasn’t a dog that saved the person in this case; instead, it was an Amazon delivery driver who was at the right place at the right moment.

John Cassabria was having a typical day. He was delivering parcels in Woburn, Massachusetts, when he heard something weird. Fortunately, instead of continuing on his way, he took the time to look into it. This is how he described it:

“It was something like a siren raid mixed with howling — like how the wind howls through the tree branches.” Cassabria said.

He followed the sound, which led him to a fence in the backyard. He instantly understood the sound was coming from a desperate dog drowning in a pool as he peered over the fence.

He rushed over the gate and dashed toward the water to assist the helpless dog. He then dove right into the lake, still wearing his uniform and holding his phone and wallet in his pocket.

John had no idea that the dog, named Luka, was a 14-year-old husky at the time. His bone had become lodged at the bottom of the pool, and the pool vacuum had vacuumed it down. The aging dog was suffering from leg difficulties and had been struggling in the water for an unknown amount of time when John rushed in to assist.

John is a dog owner and a dog lover. All he could think of when he saw the poor puppy in pain was to help him. He stated, “

“The only thing on my mind was getting him out of the water and making sure he was safe.”

Thankfully, the dog appeared to be in good health aside from being afraid, but he did not want John to leave his side:

“He didn’t want me to leave his side,” she explained. He would smack me with his paw or nudge me every time I tried to get up, so I stayed with him the entire time.”

When John called animal control to find out who owned the puppy, the officer who responded happened to be a neighbor. He contacted the dog’s owner, who was about to leave for vacation and had arranged for a dog sitter to arrive. The husky, though, was already in danger before the sitter arrived.

The family, as well as the dog, are grateful to John for saving Luka. We’re overjoyed that this tale ended happily for everyone involved, and that John was able to save the dog’s life.
