Some Disney movies, it turns out, aren’t that far from reality. This cute bulldog and a six-month-old rescue fox cub have lately brought the renowned Disney creation The Fox and the Hound to life.
This amazing story began in April, when Pauline Ashanolla, a 28-year-old lady, rescued a two-week-old foxie. The abandoned and terrified cub was discovered by a couple who, after failing to find a suitable rescue organization, resorted to Pauline, a woman known for her compassion for animals. Pauline made the decision to look after the tiny vixen and nurse her back to health.
The little foxie was found abandoned back in April when she was only two weeks old
Pauline was so committed to rescuing this sad animal that she even gave up her dream career as a dog groomer so she could spend more time with him. Marley (Pauline’s name for the cub) eventually recovered his health and developed into the lovely little fox you see in these photographs.
Ernie, Pauline’s four-year-old bulldog, was also staying with her. Along the process, he and Marley have developed a genuinely amazing friendship.
Pauline decided to help the cub and took her in
“When we found Marley, she was so sick that she was covered in flies and ticks. Pauline told The Kennedy News and Media, “They were in her ears, everywhere.” “She was vomiting worms, huge ones that were longer than she was.” If she had been found 15 minutes later, she would have definitely died.”
Pauline nursed Marley back to health for the following six weeks, syringe-feeding her kitten milk every 90 minutes throughout the day and night. She also received medication from Marley to treat her worms and ticks.
Somewhere along the line, a beautiful friendship blossomed between Marley and Pauline’s bulldog Ernie
The foxie is now powerful, and she has a best friend by her side. “At first, I was concerned about Marley and how she would interact with the dogs,” Pauline told The Kennedy News and Media. “At first, Ernie was scared of Marley, and she didn’t like him, but she gradually began to sleep closer to him. They started playing together after I’d had her for around three weeks. They simply began jogging around together one day, and they have been close buddies ever since.”
These two furry friends almost look like the real-life version of The Fox and the Hound
“They’re inseparable and do everything together.” “They spend all day playing with one other, sleeping together every night, and going for walks together,” Pauline told The Kennedy News and Media. “Normally, foxes are hunted by dogs, but these two are closest friends. It’s a real-life version of The Fox and the Hound. Ernie is so kind and sweet with her; he may appear to be a small bruiser, but he’s a big baby.”
