Stella, a homeless, elderly Pit Bull, would have been a statistic at an animal shelter if she hadn’t been adopted. Another older dog, this time a Pit Bull, was disregarded, ignored, and doomed to die. Hany, on the other hand, saw her and gave her a second chance.
“As soon as we met, things became better for both of us,” Hany writes. Just by observing the two interact, it’s clear that they have a special affinity.
