Meet Engelbert and his strange clan! Engelbert’s adoption tale is heartwarming, as is the house he now calls home. When Engelbert’s father, Steve, first met him, he was languishing in a shelter. Steve returned to the shelter to get another dog, but the one he wanted had already been adopted, so he wandered around the facility again, when he saw Engelbert.
Even though Engelbert had a long list of medical issues, Steve knew that if he didn’t take him, no one else would.
“If you don’t know his tale,” Steve says of Engelbert, “he was abused by his prior owner and taken by the shelter.” “Throughout the winter, he had been maintained as an outside dog. He experienced frostbite on both ears, which had to be cut, and he suffers from neurological problems. His hind legs aren’t working properly, but he’s a mighty tiny dog. This dog has a lot of love to give. I’ll catch him just staring at me, as if he can’t believe his luck. “I share your sentiments.”
Engelbert was welcomed into the family of six dogs, one pig, cat, rabbit, and other animals when he arrived at his new home. There’s also one human.
All of Steve’s animals are rescues, and as you can see from the photographs below, they are all adorably sweet and get along.
WHEN PEOPLE ASK ENGELBERT’S DAD WHY HE ISN’T MARRIED, HE SMILES TO HIMSELF. “I SHOULD JUST SHOW THEM THIS PICTURE,” he thinks to himself. TWO OF THE DOGS, HOWEVER, ARE NOT HIS. AT THE TIME, HE WAS DOG SITTING. STILL… THAT’S A LOT OF PACKAGE!
These two have such a sweet friendship!
ENGELBERT IS ONLY 5 POUNDS BUT IS THE BIGGEST PERSONALITY IN THE HOUSE.
THIS IS HOW ENGLEBERT LIKES TO BE CARRIED.
