Cheyenne ended up turning his life around as he spiraled lower into depression. He discovered that he could communicate to his six-month-old Pit bull about his troubles even though he couldn’t talk to anyone in his family or support group about his problems. He now says, “There’s no doubt about it.” “I owe her my life,” says the narrator.
