The Robinsons, a family with a 6-year-old kid, decided to relocate to a larger house in a rural place where they planned to construct a farm when the wife became pregnant with their second child. They couldn’t keep a pet at home because they were renting a small apartment before buying the house, but now that they had their own place, they were keen to adopt a dog.
They went to different shelters in search of a dog to adopt, and while listening to all the stories of how each of the animals ended up there, they came across a shy Pit Bull named Benson.
Benson’s life was unfortunately not easy. For many years, he was used for fights and then dumped on the streets. He had already lost faith in mankind and was terrified to even lift his head when volunteers discovered him. After some time at the shelter, he was adopted by a family, but his happiness only lasted two weeks. Because he wasn’t pleasant, the family determined he wasn’t welcome.
Mrs. Robinson realized she needed to offer him a chance at a better life after hearing this. They adopted Benson, who, despite his odd behavior at initially, quickly became friends with the family’s kid Mathias.
Benson only exhibited love and affection when the baby was born.
The family, however, heard a loud barking coming from the baby’s chamber one night. When they observed Benson chewing the crib’s ribs, they raced to check what was wrong. They initially feared the worst, believing he intended to harm the child, but he was actually doing the exact opposite. Benson was attempting to reach the baby after she had stopped breathing.
The family rushed her to the hospital where they were told that if Benson didn’t alert them of the baby’s condition, she would surely die. Thankfully, that didn’t happen.
