Using his three legs, Gus, a Goldendoodle from The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, save a juvenile otter from drowning in the St. Croix River. The courageous dog was able to swim to pull the otter out of the water after having his back right leg amputated due to tumors discovered during X-rays.
According to Gus’s owner Cleo Young and her two grandchildren, the courageous dog, who is battling illness, managed to swim more than 50 feet to free the baby otter from the ocean.
Thankfully, the otter was fine and it was sent to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center by Young. Thanks to the dog and his owners who saved the baby otter’s life. Watch the video below.
