Litter Crew Cleaning The Road Finds Pint-Sized Pup Someone Discarded As Trash
|
The Indiana Department of Transportation’s litter crews were cleaning an Indiana highway when they discovered an unexpected, but adorable discovery.
While picking up rubbish, members came upon a small dog who was alone on the side of the road.

They snapped a few pictures with the friendly pup before bringing him to safety.

The photographs were uploaded on the Indiana Department of Transportation’s Facebook page, and one of the crew members stated he brought the puppy home and will have him scanned for a microchip as soon as possible.

It’s unclear whether the puppy belonged to someone and was abandoned, or if it was born a stray. He is now safe and out of harm’s way, which is a good thing because he wouldn’t have lived much longer on the side of the road without food or drink.
If the puppy does not have a microchip and no owner can be traced, it will be put up for adoption or adopted by a member of the team!
