Woman Adopts Unwanted Dog, Who Languishes At Shelter For 800 Days

The forgotten dog was counting down the days, weeks, and months he’d spent in the shelter, and he’d almost given up hope of finding his future home.

This story is about a poor dog named K-Dog who lingered in the shelter for almost 800 days without being adopted.

The canine was moved to the SPCA of Anne Arundel Country in Maryland after spending time at a high-kill facility in West Virginia. According to Nick Crawford, the shelter’s office manager, one woman became obsessed with the puppy and chose to adopt him.

After establishing that he and his new adoptive were a perfect match, the dog’s keepers and handlers sent him to his new forever home. His ultimate release, which was captured on camera, was really sweet, and the dog was overjoyed.
