Dog Brings Home A ‘Puppy’, Turns Out It’s A Bear Cub
|
When their dog brought home a little cub, a family in Washington County was taken aback. The dehydrated newborn animal, weighing just 540 grams, was discovered without its mother.

The cub was taken to the Virginia Wildlife Center right away. The rehabilitation team quickly placed it in an incubator and began the feeding process.

“This has been an excellent example of teamwork in providing for a wild animal,” said Amanda Nicholson, outreach director for the Wildlife Center.
