Cyclist adopts puppy found on road and carries him home in his pocket

On the side of the road, Meire Luce Andrade Abreu came across an abandoned puppy. The woman took the puppy home without hesitation, tucking it inside her shirt pocket like a mother kangaroo.
In an interview with Amo Meu Pet, the biker discusses her incredible rescue of her pet Thor.
Meire is a cyclist who likes to ride her circles through the streets of her city. And she is unconcerned about the weather because she rides her bike in any condition.
Meire was undeterred by the weather and started pedaling about a week ago. What might have been a disaster for the city transformed into a treasure mine of puppy encounters.

Halfway there, the woman came across an abandoned puppy. Her riding partner urged her to pick up the puppy the next day because she wouldn’t be able to take it on her bike.

“No!” I’m not going in hell! “I’m taking him right now!” Meire exclaimed to her companion.

She selected the teeny-tiny one and stuffed it into the pocket of her T-shirt, satisfied with her choice, and continued walking.

Thor, the dog, finally has a name and a place to call home! The dog was taken to the vet after the rescue and was found to be in good health.

Thor has four canine brothers, so he is no longer alone in the world.

The following is Meire’s message to anyone interested in adopting or rescuing an abandoned animal:

“Adoption must be done out of love, because children have feelings and can sense whether or not someone likes them.”
