Dog Walks 20 Miles Twice Finding Way To Go Back To Old Home
|Cathleen, a six-year-old Great Pyrenees mix, was the protagonist of this adventure. Her owners relocated to Seminole, Oklahoma, to a house without a fenced yard. As a result, Cathleen’s owners had no choice but to give her up to a family in Prague, a town 20 miles distant from Seminole. Dogs are known for being extremely devoted and good to their owners, therefore the dog in this story did everything she could to locate her previous owners.
Cathleen adored her family and missed them so much that she made the decision to return to her childhood home. Cathleen hiked the entire distance from Prague to Seminole last winter. In the bitter cold, the faithful dog travelled 20 kilometres. Just to see her family again, a dog had to go a long and grueling journey. Cathleen’s family, however, was not as faithful as Cathleen, and she was returned to Prague.
Cathleen was so determined to see her old family that she repeated the 20-mile hike a few days later.
From Prague, Cathleen walked 20 miles on a 40-degree (4°C) temperature day just to get to her family in Seminole.
The new family, tired of her wanderings, gave up on her and brought her to the Humane Society. Fortunately for Cathleen, her tale went viral, and she was adopted by a loving family from Texas.
Dogs are incredibly loyal creatures, and Cathleen’s search for her family is an excellent example of this.
