Sick Street Dog Walks Into Shelter And Finds Cozy Place To Sleep

When a sick street dog stumbled into the Humane Society International (HSI) India headquarters, she discovered the ideal spot for a snooze. She went unnoticed at first by the busy personnel, but when they did discover her silently curled up in a chair, they knew she was in serious trouble. dogheirs writes

She was suffering from severe mange and had open wounds around her ears.
They tried to get her food and drink right away, but she was terrified and fled. The next day, she returned to the office and sought out the couch to sleep on once more.

Because the door was locked, she couldn’t run again

“Her skin was peeling off when I went to pick her up to take her to the clinic,” Alokparna Sengupta, deputy director of HSI India, told The Dodo. “However, she was and continues to be an angel.” There was no grumbling or worry. I suppose fate led her to the right place at the right time, and she knew it.”

They named her Fairy , and she was grateful for the medical care and attention she was receiving.

“She’s been a really patient and cheerful dog,” said Sengupta. “After her second day at the boarding kennel, she quickly trusted the volunteers and waited patiently for her weekly bath.” We realized what a joyful and sociable dog she was after her recovery.”

HSI has ongoing activities around the world to aid stray and helpless dogs, including street dog welfare programs and programs to release pups entangled in the dog meat trade.

Fairy was one among the beneficiaries, spending three months at their shelter before being adopted by a family.

She needed another three months to fully recover before returning to her new family.

In the end, fate, luck, or Fairy’s wits guided her in the proper route. Her life has changed dramatically, and she is now absolutely exceptional.
