Stray Dog Found Curled Up In Snow Keeping Poor Orphaned Kittens Warm

A Good Samaritan observed something that made her stop while traveling on a bitterly cold night in Ontario, Canada, over the weekend.
A shivering stray dog was snuggled up on a wintry roadside.
She wasn’t, however, alone.

Despite the fact that the dog might have sought a safer area to spend the night, she wasn’t only thinking about herself.

Closer inspection revealed that the sweet puppy had wrapped herself around five orphaned kittens, which she was snuggling to keep warm in the freezing circumstances.

The Good Samaritan, in turn, saved them all from the freezing night by taking them to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue shelter. But by then, an incredible bond between the dog and kittens had already been formed.

A spokesman for the shelter told The Dodo, “It’s truly heartwarming!” “It had been a bitterly chilly night, and these kittens would have struggled to survive.”

The kittens are now safe, but they will need flea and worm treatment. Meanwhile, the loving stray dog who rescued them insists on visiting them on a regular basis, as if she were a proud mother, to keep an eye on their progress.

It’s still unknown where the dog or kittens came from or if they knew each other before that fateful night. Pet and Wildlife Rescue is hoping to find their owners, but if that doesn’t happen, they’ll be placed up for adoption.
However, because to that heroic pup, the kittens’ sad conclusion was turned into a happy one.
“On a daily basis, our team witnesses many tough situations, and stories like this one make every suffering worthwhile,” the shelter stated.
