A DOG WHO HAS NEVER BEEN INSIDE BEFORE TAKES HIS FIRST NAP IN A REAL BED.
|Sundae had lived her whole life in a junkyard and a freezing garage.
The coonhound/Labrador retriever mix was rescued from a dog-hoarding situation in Oklahoma City by Country Roads Animal Rescue Society, and she gave birth to a litter of pups without ever entering a home.
That is, until her foster mother showed her how important a warm bed is. As soon as Sundae sat down to relax, her face lit up with relief.
Sundae was at ease because she knew she was safe.
“We’ve had her for about a week, and you’d never know she’s never been an indoor dog before,” Sundae’s foster mom Mugglequeen posted on Reddit. “On the inside, she’s completely toilet trained, really sweet, and pretty polite,” the owner explained.
Sundae was given that name by Mugglequeen because of her sweetness and the wonderful chocolate, vanilla, and caramel color on her face.
Sundae was initially wary of men, but she warmed up to them after her foster mother placed a pair of her boyfriend’s shorts on Sundae’s favorite spot, the bed.

Sundae is finally receiving the medical treatment she deserves after a lengthy period of neglect.
Her veterinarian revealed she had heartworms and needed dental work, but she was otherwise healthy. Sundae’s only responsibility now is to wait for the right family to fall in love with her puppies, which are being cared for by other foster families.
Mugglequeen added, “Her ideal family would have a very relaxed lifestyle and a lot of patience to allow her to continue to come out of her shell and gain confidence.” “She’ll stay with me till she finds the perfect family for the rest of her life!”
