The Bakersfield Fire Department in California responded swiftly to a dumpster fire that required assistance, and they had no idea that their assistance would save a life.

When Engine Company 6’s Paul Alvarado arrived on the scene, he noticed a shrub on fire, and as he approached the hearth, he began to hear peculiar crying coming from it: it was the cries of a miserable small puppy.

“Providing amazing service applies to all or any of our customers!” the firefighter was praised as a hero for saving the small animal in need. on Facebook, the department wrote.

“The firemen got him out, and we’re filling his stomach and making him comfortable.”

He will spend a couple of months in care , and when he grows up and gets healthy are going to be but up for adoption.

As shown on Pet Matchmakers’ Facebook page, Fuego is doing well in his first week. He’s resting a lot and eating well, and because to his lucky timing, he has a lot of adopted siblings to play with: a Doberman litter of puppies was rescued around the same time as Fuego.
