Puppy Thrown Out At Garbage Dump Has Best Life Now

Samu was thrown away like trash…but wait until you see what happens next.

A beautiful puppy found at a dump has a long and happy life ahead of him because to a rescuer’s daily routine.

Takis Proestakis, an animal rescuer, discovers dogs in the trash almost every day. Takis Shelter was actually formed when he rescued an abandoned puppy from a rubbish dump.

On the Greek island of Crete, unwanted pets are regularly abandoned like trash at the garbage dump. While the landfill is en route to Takis Shelter, Takis unavoidably drives home with another dog. That’s exactly what happened when Takis spotted Samu on this specific day.

Samu’s white fur almost merged in with the color of the mattress he was hiding under.

“Here we are again,” Takis says in the rescue footage as he lets his dog Zoe out of his car (see below). Takis believes that Zoe will help him attract the puppy, and he is successful.

Once Takis is safely in his car, he can’t help but adore the puppy. “Look at this wonderful face,” he says, noting that the puppy’s blue collar is still on.

Takis returns Samu to his retreat, which is nestled within an olive grove on a mountainside. At any given time, the shelter is home to 300 dogs.

Samu was shy at first, but as he became more comfortable in the company of other animals, he began to play with the other dogs at the shelter. Samu is instantly noticed by a foreign visitor who fosters dogs for Takis in her home in Finland. Soon after, Samu comes in Finland and befriends two other dogs rescued from Takis Shelter. He’s on his way to living the life of his dreams!
