Sick Pit Bull Puppy Walks Into Fire Station Looking For Help

When she wandered into the East Cleveland Fire Department, a tiny sick stray puppy found help. When firefighters saw the anxious 5-month-old Pit Bull mix, they knew she needed medical attention. Severe mange had left her with gaping wounds all over her body.

While the team prepared for her to be taken to Crossroads Animal Hospital, the homeless dog followed one firefighter around for hours.

“It was a pretty smart move on her part,” East Cleveland Fire Department Lt. Mike Celiga told WKYC. “But she’s desperate, her poor feet are bloated, she’s got open sores on her head — boy, just a little bit of affection is going to go miles for her.”

Sistine, the puppy, will be fostered by Muttley Crue Rescue until she is healthy and ready to be adopted!

Good news: Sistine appears to have found her everlasting home! Take a peek at the before and after photos that her rescuers have posted!
