Dog Has Heartmelting Reaction When Rescuer Holds Out Her Hand

Duffy was sprawled on the floor of a dark and disgustingly dirty room in a puppy mill when the Humane Society of the United States first encountered him. He couldn’t walk because his fur was matted. When he plaintively lifts a paw to one of his rescuers, I got worked up.

His rescuers weren’t sure if he’d survive, let alone stand up again, when they took him away. Duffy, on the other hand, proved them incorrect. He’s now in a home where he can find the kindness he yearned for when he first held out a paw to his saviour.
