Dog Neglected And Tied To Shelter Gate Finds The Best People To Help Her

Staff workers at the RSPCA Woodside Animal Center in Leicester, United Kingdom, were getting ready for work on a Wednesday morning when they noticed a dog tethered to the front gate. The dog quickly wagged her tail when she noticed the staffs in the hopes that they would notice her. Nobody knew how long she’d been there, but it was obvious that her owner had abandoned her.

“She was standing with her head thrust through the gate’s bars, her ears back and these enormous, brown puppy dog eyes in her eyes. In a news statement, a spokesman for the RSPCA Woodside Animal Center remarked, “She must be so confused and disoriented.”

Misty was the name given to the sweet dog who was transported to the center. She appeared frail and malnourished, with a skin issue and cuts on her nose. Misty had a microchip, but when they called the number indicated on the chip, they learned she had been rehomed some years prior to being abandoned outside the shelter.

Misty has been reunited with her original owner, but the RSPCA is still looking for her. In a news statement, Karl Marston, an RSPCA inspector, said, “We’re now hoping the public may be able to help with our investigation.”

We’re relieved to learn that Misty is unwinding and regaining her health after the trauma of being abandoned at the shelter. She’ll be placed in her forever home once she’s ready, where she’ll be adored and cared for. Above all, she will never have to be afraid of being abandoned again.
