Dogs, regardless of breed, are naturally gentle and loving creatures. So, as odd as it may seem, when an orphaned small squirrel approaches a huge dog, only one thing can happen: a lifelong bond. This is also the case with this adorable pit bull and his adorable best friend.
Morgan Joy Groves – Everly’s mother – took his “good boy” on a walk the other day and came discovered a little creature. A befuddled baby squirrel stood there alone, watching them. Morgan assumed the poor infant had gone missing because there was no evidence of its mother. She wasn’t sure how to react, but luckily, none of her actions were necessary because the cute little thing was immediately enthralled by Everly.
Morgan and her pet dog started following them as soon as they left the store, and it only stopped when they arrived home. Things quickly got out of hand there. Everly was approached by a little squirrel that seemed to be begging to be adopted. And the dog’s response was quicker than predicted. Since then, the two have been inseparable.
The poor baby squirrel finally found the comfort it needed and Everly on the other hand found the friend he was always seeking for.
Even though Morgan realized that raising a squirrel would be far more difficult than she had anticipated, she decided that it would be much preferable for the youngster to attend a squirrel sanctuary until it was old enough to be reunited with Everly. I’m looking forward to seeing these two together again.
